The River Thames is probably one of the most famous rivers in the world flowing through London past some iconic landmarks recognised the world over. Blue Lamp Afloat Training Centre is now proud to offer RYA Powerboat training on the Thames operating out of St Katharine Docks. Blue Lamp Afloat is an RYA accredited training establishment and one of only a handful operating out of Central London. We pride ourselves on outstanding value for money, expertise and experience of our instructors. Our principle focus is on your safety, customer satisfaction and course enjoyment. We run our courses using our 6m Avon Adventure RIB “Skyla” which is powered by a 150hp Yamaha outboard. “Skyla” is also available for skippered private charter. Included in our prices are course certification, wet weather gear and life jackets Complimenting the London power boat training experience we can also offer one day RYA shore based courses including VHF SRC and first aid. Though classroom based, our courses are very interactive and memorable!

You’ll receive a recognised qualification that will also enable you to qualify for the International Certificate of competence (ICC) and two great days out on the London’s famous tideway.
