Your CV, built by Crew HQ and always up to date

Most crew CVs are a Word file last touched two seasons ago. Crew HQ now builds one for you from your profile, so it is current every time someone asks for it.

A designed CV from your profile

The CV built by Crew HQ takes what is already on your profile: your photo, job title, qualifications, languages, objective, yacht experience, other experience and career path. It lays them out as a one-page PDF that reads well on a phone and prints cleanly.

It is rebuilt each time it is downloaded. Add a season to your profile and your CV has it the same minute.

See a real one: download the demo CV of Alex Demo, a made-up bosun we use to show how things work.

Your copy carries your QR code

The copy you download yourself has a QR code in the corner. It opens your Crew HQ Me page, so a captain holding the printed CV can scan it and see your full profile and references. The QR code is yours to share: the copy a recruiter downloads from your profile does not have it.

Use it, or keep your own

You decide which CV Professional members download from your profile: the one built by Crew HQ, or the file you uploaded. You can switch back at any time, on your home page or in the Upload CV tab of your profile.

Choosing the Crew HQ CV also counts as "CV done" in your profile completeness.

Make it read better

Because the CV is your profile, improving one improves the other. Ask the Crew HQ Assistant to "check my CV for spelling and grammar". It works through your objective and experience one field at a time, shows you each correction and saves only what you approve. It uses your facts and never adds a yacht, a date or a qualification you did not give it.

What it costs

The CV built by Crew HQ is free for every member while we rebuild the community. It is planned to become part of Premium Membership later.
